I'm Liza. I'm a professional in NYC and the founder of Friendly Money.

When I got my first paycheck, I had no clue what a Roth IRA was, how to change my tax withholdings, or whether or not I could really afford the more expensive cocktail at happy hour. For a long time, I continued to not know those things. I didn't make enough money for it to matter. At least, that's what I told myself.

 

Many years later, I know better. By not building better financial habits sooner, I cheated myself out of returns that could have been compounding all of that time -- and the lack of financial education and taboo against money talk in American culture didn't help.

I created Friendly Money to save other early-stage professionals from the same fate. I built my financial confidence from years of research, hard-won knowledge from missteps of my own, and an MBA from Columbia Business School. I'm excited to share the wealth with you!
